Traditional Chinese Core Values Workshop

Objective

As a Chinese saying goes, “Without cultivating good manners, it is not easy for us to establish ourselves in the society.” We have gone through 8 chapters of The Essential Chinese Common Courtesies (ECCC) in 2020, and we are about to continue the study in 2021.  Participants will gain insights on etiquettes, protocols and discuss how to apply them in our daily life including our home, work and social circles.

Next, the book of Liaofan’s Four Lessons, a book on Changing Destiny, will be introduced. Can destiny be changed? How can destiny be changed? This book was written 500 years ago during the Ming dynasty and still holds truth that we can learn today. Participants will be given the book, or if you prefer a E-version of the book, is online.

Using both a talk by the teachers and a group discussion, join us to learn more about the traditional Chinese core values. Our luck will turn to better when we are willing to change from within. Your sharing will help every participant to find peace and harmony.
